NEA Jazz Master and renowned Grammy Award winning saxophonist and Tony Award nominee with his pianist, Joey Calderazzo, performed an inspired and intimate evening of jazz, presented by the United Arts Council for the 2012 Festival.
Expect the best for 17 DAYS with exceptional exhibits and events at Weatherspoon Art Museum, one of the foremost collectors of modern and contemporary art in the Southeast and Green Hill Center for NC Art, a unique home to showcase North Carolina's best visual artists.
17 DAYS offers visitors and guests the opportunity to experience amazing examples of creative works. In 2012, the festival hosted a series of films from the Human Rights Watch Film Festival, inspiring viewers to stand up for human rights.
17 DAYS brings dance alive on the stage... from the Van Dyke Dance Group, to Greensboro Ballet, to Cyrus Art Production and more. For the dance fan, the festival showcases both modern and classical styles, truly something for everyone.
From the rockin' beat of the blues to classical favorites, 17 DAYS has your music fix covered! The 2012 festival hosted British blues phenomenon Joanne Shaw Taylor for an extraordinary performance. Stay tuned for another exciting line up in 2013!
